FreePixio is operated by Alyssa Pike, an individual sole proprietor. Payments are handled by Paddle.com, which receives the billing details you enter at checkout.
Your images
All current tools (compressor, converters, resizer and target-size compressor) process images entirely in your browser. Your images are not uploaded to our servers, and we never see them.
Analytics
We record anonymous counts of tool activity, such as tools opened and downloads completed, to understand service usage. Optional analytics runs only if you accept analytics cookies. We never send file names, image contents or image metadata to analytics. You can decline optional analytics and every tool still works.
Who is responsible for your data
Alyssa Pike, operating FreePixio as a sole proprietor, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. This means we decide why and how your personal data is used.
Data we collect and why
- Account data (email address, securely managed login credentials, sign-in provider, saved presets): to create and secure your account and provide the service. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Plan and credit data (plan status, credit balance, purchase history): to provide paid features you bought. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Usage and device data (anonymous tool events, IP address, browser and device type): to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the tools. Legal basis: legitimate interests; analytics cookies only with your consent.
- Support messages (content of emails you send us): to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Who we share data with
- Service providers that host and run the site, database, sign-in and analytics on our behalf.
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for selling the product, managing subscriptions, processing payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Professional advisers (such as legal or accounting) where needed.
- Authorities, where required by law.
Service providers may process data outside your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, these must include an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual protections, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
We retain account data and saved presets while your account is active. After account deletion, we retain personal data only where needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or prevent fraud. Purchase and subscription records are retained for the applicable statutory tax and accounting period; that period depends on the relevant law. Support correspondence is retained until your request is resolved and any related legal or dispute requirements end. Usage and security records are retained only for as long as needed to understand service activity and investigate abuse. We delete or anonymise personal data when these purposes no longer require it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You can request these rights using the email below and delete your account from your account page. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We respond within the period required by applicable law, normally one month for UK/EEA requests, subject to permitted extensions.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted HTTPS connections, authenticated account access and database access controls that restrict access to personal records. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your cookie choice. Optional analytics cookies are only permitted if you accept them in the cookie banner; we do not use marketing cookies. You can withdraw analytics consent by clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser, then declining analytics when you revisit. Clearing site data also signs you out.
